THE ABSYNTHIUM COLLECTIVE

In 2005, in college to do non-guitar soundtrack work, I fell in love with a program by Synapse Audio called Orion. I managed to use my keyboard to come up with the first of the base melodies and plug them into something called "piano roll" which functions as a massive grid and makes arranging multitracks much quicker and easier. Fixing mistakes also doesn' take full re-record of tracks. Over many years I've made a lot more in nearby multi-day sessions (and some in 1-2 days).

This website contains all the dual-cd collections I've made or am working on. Once clicked the left side media player will load up a full list of tracks to play. Below is every single EP that helps make up said compilations. Some of the inner releases are out of order for the sake of overall themes. These are now finally the official product setups for good.

I did four dual-albums and plan on a few more before I conclude the series and feel I have enough.

(Features Omnium, Continuum I and II, and Delirium Collectives)

The final setup will include two Absynthium Collective USBS. I have thought of eventually doing three, but I really really don't know about that one. I kind of want to move on to other things finally.

ALBUMS AND THEIR EPS:
(KEEP SCROLLING)

The theme to this collective is mostly dark music, with some alternatives.

There were a lot of "firsts" here, from the very first album to the very first two game soundtracks, as well as the "first" from when I started my second wave of synth, called Apocalypso.

Orion Origins
My first synth soundtrack was created in 2005 for two games. One was tossed midway through classes and the second was a space shooter called Thanatos. You will notice mostly 2 themes, as the first game was called Castle Kingdom, calling for more dark tracks.

Infernum 1
As for the next game I soundtracked, Sin Harvest by the college team, I was asked strictly for "dark" music. Since I only was asked for around five tracks, I spit out 30. These 30 didn't all follow theme, as some were upbeat and some were jokes. I was also still experimenting for fun, so others didn't all fit as well.

Infernum 2
As for the next game I soundtracked, Sin Harvest by the college team, I was asked strictly for "dark" music. Since I only was asked for around five tracks, I spit out 30. These 30 didn't all follow theme, as some were upbeat and some were jokes. I was also still experimenting for fun, so others didn't all fit as well.

Apocalypso
This one was made far in the future from the rest, in 2017, with a few others coming first. It was put here because of its dark theme, "end of times" title, and because it was another "first" after 4 years of not creating anything due to work at the time.

These are both long sequences where all the tracks bleed into the next ones. The first was from 2006, and is published to bandcamp under side A and side B. Continuum II was from 2019, 13 years later, and follows the same concept. The track titles of Continuum II also tell a mild story.

Continuum LP-Side A
Continuum LP-Side B
I had roommates at this time from college and wanted to continue helping with games even though I had dropped after an Associate's degree. Unfortunately, there was no fourth game. What was unique about this release was the grouping and track sequence. A lot of tracks shared the same bpm so they were linked together, providing a full 50-track album that acted like a song.

Continuum II
Towards the second half of 2018 I had decided to make a sequel to Continuum. It was finished in March of 2019, as you can see by the dates by each track on bandcamp. There are five sets of 10 tracks that either fade out or do something else to distinguish between the sets. The sets alternate between 90bpm and 120bpm. There are also five "Full Sequence" sets at the very end of this release for people using MP3 players that don't want minor gaps in between the tracks. The tracks also tell a mild story in their titles.

Delirium is a vast range of years all themed to various things with the primary theme being sleep, dreams, and nightmares.

The eps are as follows

Nervorum
Nervorum was an ep from 2006 that was originally going to be called "Songs From Orion Vol 4" with "Vol 3" being Continuum 1. Before that it was meant eventually to be an accompanying or bonus disc to Continuum 1/Songs From Orion 3 to create a double disc. I moved out of my apartment early, so things didn't go as planned. Shortly after I started recording goofy shit with my friend Will H and put the strictly-synth stuff up for some years.

Polybius
Polybius in 2011 was originally "Orion Eclipse" and was meant to last longer than its original 19 tracks, now cut to significantly less. The rest were thrown onto Lost In Oblivion, a collection of outtakes from these synth eps and albums. It didn't take long to create and which is why the tracks I feel are lower in quality of creativity. I was out of work at the time so I laid on a couch making these all due to a recent surgery.

Pixels
Pixels was started in 2013 and left alone while I quit everything musically except a couple goofy tracks while working my second stretch of time at the US Postal Service. It was finished and finalized as a full ep in 2018 with tracks like Morpheus and Chiptune Funk. The theme is staying up all night delirious playing video games.

Dystopian
Dystopian is part 1 of a series of tracks made for someone who messaged me on twitter about doing a soundtrack. I never saw it until months later when the slots were already filled, and it was too late. So along with Lithium, the next ep, these tracks were basically divided by mood. They are happy vs dark. These are the products of what a rapid response with music using inspiration from a piano chords book and experimentation.

Lithium
Lithium is part 2 of a series of tracks made for someone who messaged me on twitter about doing a soundtrack. I never saw it until months later when the slots were already filled, and it was too late. So along with Dystopian, the previous ep, these tracks were basically divided by mood. They are happy vs dark. These are the products of what a rapid response with music using inspiration from a piano chords book and experimentation.

Somnium
For a long time, I wanted to go as soft as possible on purpose and make a real sleep album for my mother. It was just going to be a personal cd-r but I liked it so much it became the closing ep for the delirium collective.

Momentum's above-all theme would definitely be life, war, and death. You can still, however, find various small other themes. Space tracks, and even very catchy ones that probably don't fit at all, but oh well.

The eps are as follows:
Bellum
There's really no theme here, except life and war, overall, concluding in death, at the end of the overall album "Momentum" There are other themes. It's more a mixed bag of quick ideas I extended with little cool parts here and there. I don't really hae a favorite, though "Triton" and the title track "Bellum" are the most catchy.

Tantrum
Two tracks, the first and the last, were dug up from a 2011 cd-r I found years later. I then threw a bunch of unused orion source renders from the past and present year this was made into the mix, with a few more new tracks.

Opium
I really enjoyed this when I first finished it. "A new door" is long and more ambient. My favorites are "Faced with Concern" "The Ghost Soldiers" and "Antagony." This ep is a lot more pretty than a lot of others, especially towards the end. Its theme I guess could be life and war as well, just like Bellum. You could probably consider this a direct sequel since Tantrum is basically something else.

Sanctum
This is my short attempt of mostly "dungeon synth" with a fifth track you could just consider a throwback bonus. I finally also made Gatherum 5, and it mixes various parts of the previous versions. The first 3 tracks were technically 2021, with the third remade in 2022 for Project Warlock 2.

Odium
This ep took two days to make, while the next, Osmium, took only one. I guess I was in a highly creative mood and work had recently granted me a second offday. This ep, along with the previous and next, make up the 2nd CD of Momentum. The theme of disc 1 is "life and war" while the theme now of disc 2 is "war and death."

Osmium
This little EP took ONE DAY to create, and I rather like it. It concludes Momentum, an album of war, life, and death. Spoiler Alert: You Die.

Caelum is my "heaven" themed album. It will consist of two 35-40 minute EPs that make up a full CD. Coupled up with Pandemonium, this will create the PostVitam volume of the Absynthium Collectives.

Aurae
Aurae is the first in a batch of 2 eps that will make up the Caelum collective. The overall theme is "Heaven." You will also notice something cool about the track titles in comparison to the Pandemonium collective.

Pandemonium is my "hell" themed album. It will consist of two 35-40 minute EPs that make up a full CD. Coupled up with Caelum, this will create the PostVitam volume of the Absynthium Collectives.

Crudelis
Crudelis is the first in a batch of 2 eps that will make up the Pandemonium collective. The overall theme is "Hell." You will also notice something cool about the track titles in comparison to the Caelum collective.
