GEAR AND SOFTWARE I used the same Gibson M-III guitar from when I was 15. It has so far lasted nearly 30 years. In the older tracks, I also used a yamaha PSR-22 I got cheap at wal-mart, often ran through guitar amp distortion. My amp is even a cheap bedroom amp that if I remember right was $40 only. In traditional grunge/punk rock garage style, my shit was mostly cheap trash. The guitar, however, is now a collector's item. When it comes to software I legally owned various versions of ACID and forked over $250 for Orion. ACID versions purchased with post office job money over the years were 2.0, 4, 5, 10, and 11. It was a DAW from the ancient days that still gets updates. As for MIDI/piano roll I have used a couple versions of Orion by Synapse Audio who later stopped making it after version 8.5 and have since still used it for years. They're simple and I know all of their capabilities by heart.
