I have completed another minimalistic megawad, this time for vanilla doom. It was made for a shovelware-esque compilation called WAD MANIA ONE by TOVA on Doomworld Forums. Upon release I put it up for playtesting, though I'm pretty sure MAP30 is too much for vanilla. We will see if it crashes for others. It crashed for me but that had to do with the level title graphic lumps I took out, so I'm not 100% sure it will crash as I quickly did something else and put it on a better port permanently and it does in fact work on that one.

What I mean by permanently, is that since it works in PrBoom and GZ/UZDoom just fine, I put this primitive version up on Bethesda's official DOOM+DOOM II cross-compatible release. This means if you really want to search for "DYBBUK81's NANO NIGHTMARES" up on Playstation, Xbox, Switch, and whatever other way of playing this port, you can!

Knowing it is possible that MAP30 will not play on its original version and purpose (Chocolate Doom) I'll have alternate versions. Also mine is MAP14 of Oops! All Techbase. It is also playable on DOOM+DOOM II. Honestly, all you really have to do in the future to find anything I'm part of or have been part of, is search for 'dybbuk' and you'll get your small or in the future larger list.

Friday August 28, 2026 First I got this idea to touch up Nightmares 4 aka Chaos95 but keep it for vanilla doom so that I can release it on a doomworld user's shovelware compilation I was interested in. Unfortunately the two levels I enhanced no longer would play in the required port, Chocolate Doom. So I just kept going, and made them for UZDoom. What you see below is level one, in FULL RAINBOW. Yes, I snagged multiple tones of various colors by choosing DOOM's most-used cliche textures and then adding lines at the end for numerical number codes from 0 to 255. For example, what you see in the very top would have ASHES200, whereas 200 represents purple in the colorization wheel of Paint Shop Pro 7. I'm even still using the same graphical editor from the 90s many used for these mods as well ;) Anyways this may or may not eventually lead to anything important or at all. I'm just having fun. If you'd like to mess around with it and see what level 1 looks and plays like now after rainbow enhancement and level additions, click here to check it out. The rest of the Nightmares 4/Chaos levels are there, untouched, except MAP02 has some changes from the original. The rest are the same.
